ABOUT ME

Born to a pair of lovely couple on 22nd March, 2006, i was named Chloe by May and Yiyin by Desmond. May is my Mum. She is an educator by profession, a dedicated teacher i must say. She is very passionate about Biology and Life Sciences. I've been hearing so much about Bio when i'm in her womb! Anyway, May's life seems very enriched. Busy with coming out with teaching pedegogies (another thing i've been hearing when i'm in her womb) and of course me! :> Hope she can put aside sometime for herself...she's getting unglam and haggard!!! Desmond, you should have guessed it by now....that's right, his sperm is the one that it responsible for part of my existance. Solider...defend the country...that's his job! Family oriented guy...he's always sandwiched between May and his family!? But he's doing a good job!

Chloe's Latest Devlopment at 18 mths to 20 mths old

May spoke again:

Questioning??
2 to 3 weeks ago, she started questioning us."What is this?", What is Daddy doing?","Where is this?","Who is this?" Today, she cannot stop asking us these questions. Sometimes, she will point to a direction and ask "what is this?". Well, this can be frustrating for me because, i cant quite figure out what she is pointing at really :>

In fact, her questioning skill was first noted when she was 16 to 17 mths. But back then we wasnt sure that she really question because we only heard her said that once in a long long while. But at 19 mths it became obvious she questions and questions and questions....

We did realised that her her level of questioing skills is elimentary. they are the "whos", "wheres", "what", "where". I read somewhere these are basic questioings, when a child is cognitivly more developed and ready, the hows and the whys will appear.

Please, Thank you & Sorry
I dont think she quite understand the meaning of these but i'll still continue to educate her the basic manners.

When prompted " What must you say?", she's able to say thank you or XieXie Ni at 16-17mths old. When we prompted "Apologise" She can respond " i'm sorry". Sometimes, when we showed anger, she apologised too. "Please"....thats something we insists she says when she request for something. E.g: If she wants some more bread, she will have to say, Mommy, can i have some more bread please?" Well, the best she can reproduce was " Mommy, some more bread, please?".

[b]Sink & Float
Well, this phenomenon is commonly seen in our everyday life. I make it more delibrate for her. In my bathroom, I will prepare a transparent container, half filled with water, and then gather different objects such as coin, small sponges, rubber band, beads, etc and i'll get her to throw the item into the container. So for eg: when she threw in the coin, and it sinks, i'll say "the coin sinks". She enjoyed that!

There are some occasions she will drag me to the bathroom and say "SINK AND FLOAT" a strong gesture that she wanted to play the game. :>

Four Seasons
We have been showing her Baby Enistein "Baby Monet" series. She must have picked up the terms and relate them to the vivid colours that now when asked her what are the 4 seasons, she can tell you: Spring, Summer, Spring, Winter. She can recognise the words. She can also relate some sights and scene to the individual seaasons.

Walking her toy
It was a typical evening at 19++ mth old, we went to my mum place to fetch her, unlike most other evening, that particular day, she brought along her 10" tall big bird. My mum's unit is a corner unit, so its a long walk along the corridor to the liift. Chloe walked infront of us carrying her big bird in her arm. Then she made this remark, "I walk big bird to the park". I thought i was hearing things, i turned to hubby and asked you heard that...he nodded his head in amazement.
